November 2009: Well, November is
almost over, and I'm finally getting around to posting some new
pictures. Sorry for the delay! It's been VERY busy around here what with
the AKC Obedience trial in October, the
Flyball tournament in November,
the Howl-O-Ween party, fall break, and now Thanksgiving
room-and-boarding... whew! We lost Dan, but found Lee. Kelly and HarleeDee went to the
Rainbow Bridge, but Bo and Katie have come along
to help with the healing. We have several new friends, from the tiniest
Maltese ever to the Irish Wolfhound puppy that stands 36 inches at the
shoulders, and growing. Remember that old saw "Make new friends, but
keep the old. One is silver and the other, gold." Yeah, we've got it
going on here at Play Dog Excellent. And, although cleaning up after
them isn't the most glamorous of jobs, the dogs keep us smiling and
out-loud-laughing with their unique brand of therapy: wags, wiggles,
goofy grins, and sloppy kisses. We have much to be thankful for, and if
we forget to say so in the hustle and the bustle, please know that we
are deeply, deeply grateful every day for the fur-covered opportunities
